Japan is a walkable country, especially in vibrant cities like Osaka. You'll be walking through train stations, exploring temples, and strolling through shopping streets. Pack shoes that are both comfy and easy to slip on and off (many places require you to remove them).
2. Clothing for All Seasons
Japan has four seasons. Light, breathable clothes are great for summer (June–August), while fall and spring need layers. Winters (especially December–February) require warm coats. A compact umbrella is handy year-round!
3. Travel Adapter
Japan uses 100V Type A/B plugs. If you're coming from Europe or Australia, bring a universal power adapter.
4. Toiletries & Medications
Convenience stores are great, but your favorite products or medications may not be available in Japan. Bring any essentials you rely on.
5. Cash (Japanese Yen)
Many shops and restaurants in Japan still prefer cash. Keep some yen on hand for small purchases and local eateries.
6. Pocket Wi-Fi or SIM Card
To stay connected while exploring Osaka, rent a pocket Wi-Fi or get a SIM card at the airport.
